10 Months!

Ten months old, I can hardly believe it! This post is a little late because we've been on the go it seems for the past month.

We made another trip to Libertyville this month for your Auntie Angie's Wedding shower. Your Daddy and Mommy forgot their camera so I only have a few pics from the trip from my phone.

You had so much fun seeing all of Mommy and Daddy's friends and your Nana, Grandpa, Auntie and Uncle for the weekend. You also got to meet some of Mommy's extended family too, which was so fun!

You also got to see your friends Simon and Noah again. Contrary to the photo above you had a great time. It's now become a running joke that it's not a play date if Ethan doesn't cry once. It's not that your unhappy, you are the happiest baby out there. It's just sometimes you get upset if other babies touch your head or face when you're not expecting it. It only usually happens once a play date and then you get over it. When we go places it does take you a few minutes to take in the scene. You don't seem to be shy, you just like to take it all in before you let it all out (i.e. happy screams, happy yells and happy grunts).


You are on the move this month little man. You are pulling yourself up on anything you can. You love to "walk" around all the furniture in the house. You still army crawl if you need to get some place quickly though.

You and I started swim class together this month too. We go twice a week for six weeks at the community athletic center. There are no words to describe how much you love the water. I had a feeling this was going to happen though since your daddy and I both loved swimming too when we were young.

You LOVE when your Daddy or I hold your hands and let you "run" around the house to chase Grace. She in turn loves chasing you with her squeaker toy to get the belly laughs out of you. Oh the belly laughs. There is no better sound in this world than your laugh. This month you started to laugh on your own too, without us tickling you or basically standing on our head to get a chuckle. It's awesome.

You still take four bottles a day and in between you eat grown up food. There was not one drop of baby food given this month and you didn't miss it at all. You seem to eat anything we give you but have a real fondness to Puffs, cheese, yogurt and most fruits and veggies...who am I kidding you like everything so far. You still nap twice a day for at least an hour each time. The paci still makes a daily appearance but only when you're sleeping. You still take bottles like I mentioned but you now use a sippy cup too when you eat. You don't really know how to use it by yourself so we do it for you.

Another big event this month was when the Stanley Cup came to Daddy's work and we got to see it up close! We are Blackhawks fans in this little family (don't let your Grandpa tell you otherwise either). So it was cooling see the Blackhawk names on the cup from their win last season.

It was an amazing experience and I'm so happy we got the chance to see it!
