15 Months

Ethan,
I'm going to try to write a little every couple of months about what is going on and what you have been up to. It won't be every month like your first year though. You are keeping me so busy these days I can't seem to find the time to write anymore.

You are now 15 months old. I feel like public speaking is in your future. You talk all the time. I mean ALL the time. You say Doggie, Gracie, Purple, Balloon, Ball, Mama and Dada. Those are the distinct words so far. You have your own words for other things. If you don't know what they are you point and yell until we get whatever it is you do want.

You still don't watch very much TV and you play for hours with your toys. You are obsessed with books. If anyone is near you you go grab a book and bring it over so you can sit in their lap so they can read it.

You got your first head boo boo last month too. You ran into a swing or should I say a swing ran into you. A giant goose egg was the aftermath of that meeting. It looked much worse then it really was. This won't be your last one I have a feeling.

You absolutely love being with your Daddy if he is home. You and he love being outside, when it's not too hot, and playing fetch with Grace.

You love balloons and balls still. If we are anywhere there is a balloon you let the world know by screaming BAW-LOON at the top of your lungs (over and over again). It makes trips to the grocery store interesting to say the least.

Your personality is really starting to shine too. You are so sweet and love give hugs, even to Grace the dog.

You're starting to show some interest in sports now too. I think you're more interested in the actual baseball or football then what's going on but that's OK with your Daddy. He is so excited to take you to games when you get older!

The tantrums do make an appearance once and a while. You hate getting in your car seat for some reason right now, and we can't seem to open or close the back door without some sort of crying to go outside from you.

You're still not walking 100% yet. You are doing it more and more each day but you can't seem to give up crawling just yet since that is your fastest way of getting anywhere.

You have had a few ear infections too in the last few months. Some were from head colds and some from teething. Speaking of teeth, they are coming in slowly. You have four top teeth and 3.5 bottom teeth and all four first year molars. You do have Mommy's large teeth so I have a feeling that is why they are taking so long.

You weigh 22 lbs now and are 31" long. The paci and bottle are a thing of the past and you absolutely love your sippy of milk. You eat pretty much anything at this point but have a strong fondness for grilled cheese and corn.

We love you little guy. We can't wait to see you each and every day. You bring a smile to our faces and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
